Harry Potter Tour

One of the great things about the world wide web is that you can search for days out and interesting things to see and do.  I was searching recently and came across a site that is dedicated to movie tours.   Harry Potter is my sons favourite film, so I was delighted to come across a site that has a Harry Potter Tour

I have booked the tour and will report back when I have been...

What You Should Know About Choosing A Lawn Care Provider

Many of us live very busy lives, and when you are busy taking care of your family and your work obligations, it can be difficult to find extra time to keep up with your lawn and garden maintenance. This is important, as you want the outside of your home to have an attractive appearance and look well maintained, so for many, the best choice is to find a lawn care service to do the job for them.

You first need to decide how much help you want with your lawn and landscaping. There are those who are only concerned that the grass is kept trimmed neatly each week. However, for others, the task of taking care of the lawn is much more encompassing. If you are concerned about your lawn being taken care of from weeding to fertilizing, aerating, laying mulch, planting, pruning, and more, you will need a lawn service that is able to meet all of these needs.

As you start to look around at the various lawn care specialists in your area, keep in mind what needs and wants you have. A good way to find promising companies is to ask around. It is highly likely that someone you know has had a professional take care of their lawn. Ask your neighbors, friends, and co workers for recommendations. You will be able to get the complete inside scoop about a company and this will help you determine if they are worth the quote that you receive from them.

When you have found a company you are considering, you should have an initial meeting with them, allowing them to look over your garden so they can give a complete estimate. This will also let you feel them out and make sure that you are comfortable working with them.

Make sure you ask lots of questions at this meeting. Find out if you have to sign a long term contract or how you are obliged to pay, on a weekly or monthly basis. Ask what their policy is for inclement weather, and find out if they are insured. These are all important questions that will help you have peace about hiring them.

There are many lawn care services out there, from the big name brand companies to the smaller local businesses. All you need to do is find the service that is right for you. Do your research and ask lots of questions and soon you will be enjoying the benefits of a beautiful lawn that all your neighbors will be eyeing with envy.

Finding The Perfect Baby Present

If you are in the market for a baby present there is certainly a wide variety on the market today. Whether the baby is a newborn or is a few months old there are so many different colors and patterns that it is difficult to make a choice. However, some precautions should be taken when when choosing the gift.

If the child is a newborn then the baby present you buy should not be restricted to newborn clothing. Babies grow so rapidly that many times some of the gifts they receive are never worn. You need to think out of the box and if you are purchasing clothing then purchase for 12 to 18 months. This will assure the fact that the gift will be used.

If the baby has not been born yet then there is the problem of color. If the mother-to-be knows, and has informed everyone, regarding the sex of the expected child then there is no problem. Its always been blue for boys and pink for girls although there are many designs and patterns that just incorporate these colors.

If you do not know the sex then choosing something with a mixed pattern that will fit in with either one is appropriate. It can be yellow with flowers that have pink and blue or one of the many interwoven colors. The mother would not want to be carrying her baby girl in a blue blanket and have people remarking about what a cute boy she has. These colors are an old fashioned idea but it still prevails.

Baby blankets are always a welcomed gift. Today they are beautifully decorated with animals, cartoon characters and many other attractive items. You can be sure that, unless it is a wrapping blankets, it will be used for a very long time.

If you are a good seamstress, knitter or crocheter, you might prefer to make the present. If the child is already here and you know the sex there are very cute patterns available today with appropriate materials in the shops. Making a dress, for example, for a little girl will give her a one-of-a-kind garment that no other child has. This makes such a gift especially appreciated and it will be worn with pride. For little boys there are overhauls, shorts and many other appropriate garments that would be welcomed in the same manner.

In choosing a baby present there is no end to the possibilities. Whether store bought, hand made or a basket full of baby items, it will be welcomed by the child's parent with deep appreciation. This is one way that you can show how much it means to you to have a small part in the baby's life.

Astrology - should we believe?

I never used to have much belief in Astrology until I met the English astrologer Patrick Arundell. We have become quite good friends so he often gives me readings.

Well this morning I woke up in a foul mood and I couldn't understand why. The beginning of the week was fine, glad to be back at work after the festive celebrations... but today was different and I couldn't put my finger on why. So I asked Patrick if the planets could offer a solutions and they did. He noticed something straight away. Apparently Transiting Saturn (moving Saturn - structure, discipline) is alongside my Natal Uranus (need for freedom, balance in your life). He said this can drain me out if I have been working hard and not enjoying. Well all I do is work and haven't really got much of a social life. He went on to day that because I am usually very dedicated, it may just be a bit harder to find the spark. Try to narrow your focus, delegate. Love life might not be an easy area, but ironically considering the above, business is set to get better and better. Well I haven't had a love life in years (my choice) and my business is going great , just picked up two new clients this year.

The advice about focusing and delegating was a good one. So I have outsourced some work which should free me up a little in the next month.. His little reading really hit home. It is so accurate its almost spooky.

So if you think astrology is a load of rubbish and can't help us, think again... There is more to it...

Doctor Who Tours

Doctor Who is now considered a British Institute and has come a long way since it first aired on November 23rd 1963.  The very first show saw the Doctor travel 100,00 years into the past to help some dim cavemen discover light.  After 26 seasons and seven Doctors later the series came off our screens in 1989 much to the disappointment of the huge devoted fanbase.  In 1996 an attempt was made to revive Doctor Who but it wasn’t until June 2005 when it came back with a vengeance with Christopher Eccleston as the ninth Doctor that put the series back on the map as it were.  It then went on for 5 years with David Tenant portraying the Doctor until 2010 when Matt Smith took over the role.  Today it is still a great family show and has attracted many new fans.

If you’re a new or old fan of the show there are Tours and museums you can go and see some of the locations and memorabilia of this classic show.  The Doctor Who Tour of London will take you on over 15 locations from the show, some from the new series and some from old sites like the location of The Invasion and Resurrection of the Darleks.  The tour also takes you to the TV museum in London where you will get to see some of the cosumes worn in the show and props used.  Also you can buy gifts and memorabilia from the shop.

You will learn all about how the shows were made so the tour is also educational.  If you want to take pictures of the locations that’s not a problem.  Remember the front door of 10 Downing Street in Aliens of London?  Well you can get up and close to this and get your picture taken in front of the door.  Rose Tyler fans will love the tour as you get to drop by her home in the show.

Why not go that extra mile and actually meet a Doctor Who star.  Well this is possible with private or group tours.  You will get the general tour but included will be a pre-arranged meeting or lunch with a celebrity from the show.  This will obviously depend on availability of the celebrity and the cost will reflect the popularity of that celebrity.

There are tours in London and also Wales.  The Wales tours take you to Cardiff where you will see lots of location which were featured in shows since 2005.  You can leave from London or at Leigh Delamere services station on the M4.  There is a Doctor Who exhibition in Cardiff which you get to see.  At the end of the Doctor Who tour you get a souvenir group picture sent you by email which is a nice touch.

For seriously devoted Doctor Who fans there is a 3 day tour which takes you to all the locations in both London and Cardiff.  You will see locations from the past 45 years as well as recent sites from the lasted Doctor Who series.  Day one is based in London where you get to see 15 sites. Day two takes you to Cardiff where you get to mean the real life owner of the to see we have an Gothic property used as the location of the school in Human Nature.  The final day is partly spent in Cardiff with a walking tour at Cardiff Bay, then you head back to London but a stop at Stonehenge to see the site of the Pandoica. Then its dinner at The Cloven Hoof pub in Devil’s End b efore you taken back to central London.
